bye, bye, breastfeeding

These past few weeks have been SO busy. I'm finding it to be much more difficult lately to feel like I'm splitting my time fairly between all of the pieces of my life, and I feel like this is probably something most moms struggle with. (Any advice on how to magically juggle it all is welcome, mommas.)

So we took some time to just relax this past weekend and explore one of our favorite spots in town: Main Street. Now that Graham is one, he is ON. THE. GO. Seriously--he is non-stop (as you can see). I worry when I think how much more I'll be running around the house once he is actually walking on his own! 

In the midst of all the chaos of life, we had Graham's 12-month doctor appointment, which may not seem eventful to most, but this one was a big one for us. This was the appointment where I would finally get the "OK" to stop pumping around the clock and get the green light to start introducing whole milk into G's diet. Up until this appointment I thought to myself, "Oh my gosh. I can't wait to finally light this pump on fire and be done with it!"  However, I'm finding it to be surprisingly difficult to come to terms with the thought of no longer being the source of G's nutrition. (The night before Graham's appointment, I fed him his nighttime bottle while I rocked him to sleep and cried. I'm thinking those pregnancy hormones are still lingering.)

So, these photos will forever be a reminder of the bond Graham and I shared during our breastfeeding journey (and trust me, it was definitely a journey with lots of ups and downs) and a reminder that even though it ends, our connection never will.

Trying to get Daddy to step out from behind that camera more often :)
